1/3 cup minced fresh basil
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp water
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir well with a whisk.
Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
Yield: 1/2 cup
